2 cups flour
11/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 cup butter
1 cup buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs 1 pkg 4oz. Bakers German Sweet Chocolate (melted)

Frosting:
Combine 1 cup evaporated milk
1 cup sugar
3 egg yolks,
1/2 cup butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, sugar, soda, baking powder and salt.
Stir butter to soften. Combine flour mixture with buttermilk, butter, vanilla, eggs and chocolate.
Beat 3 min. at med. speed. Pour into 2 greased, floured 9 in. layer pans. Bake 350 for 35 min.

Frosting:
Stir over medium heat until thickened (soft ball).
Add 11/3 cup coconut and 1 cup chopped pecans.
Beat until thick and spread on cake.
