3/4 cup shortening
1 cup packed brown sugar
½ cup sugar
1 egg
¼ cup water
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
½ tsp soda
3 cup uncooked oatmeal
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Beat shortening, brown sugar, white sugar, egg, water and vanilla together until creamy.
Sift together flour soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture; Blend well. Stir in oatmeal, Stir in chocolate chips and pecans. Drop by teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheets. Bake in preheated 350 oven. 12 to 15 minutes.
