1 stick salted butter, melted
1 cup sugar
1 t. vanilla extract
1/4 cup cocoa
1 T. red food coloring
2 eggs
3/4 all purpose flour
Cream Cheese Layer:
8 oz. cream cheese
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 t. vanilla extract

LIne an 8 X 8 pan with nonstick foil and preheat oven to 350º.
Brownie: Add melted butter to a large bowl and add the sugar, vanilla, cocoa powder, food coloring. Whisk in eggs. Fold in the flour until combined. Spread in the pan and reserve 1/4 cup of batter for the swirl.
Cream Cheese Layer: Beat together cream cheese, sugar, egg, vanilla in a medium bowl. Gently spread over the top of the brownie batter in the pan. Dollop the remaining batter mixture over the top of the cream cheese layer.
Using a toothpick, drag the tip through the cream cheese mixture to create a swirl pattern. Bake the brownies for 30 minutes. Remove to a cooling rack and allow them to cool completely. Chill and then cut.
