1 10-oz package English Toffee Bits or Heath Bar Bits
3 tablespoons cooking oil
6 tablespoons flour
1/2 cup (one stick) butter or margarine
1/2 cup brown sugar (firmly packed)
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
2 large eggs
1-1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt

Butter Cream Icing

1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
2 cups confectioner's sugar
2-3 tablespoons milk (hot)
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350º.

Combine toffee chips, oil and flour in small bowl. Set aside.

Stir together flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.

Combine butter and sugars in large bowl; beat until creamy. Add eggs, vanilla and almond flavoring; mix well. Gradually add flour mixture, beating until just mixed. Stir in toffee chip mixture.

Drop by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly browned. Cool completely.

For icing, combine butter, sugar and vanilla with mixer. Gradually add milk until consistency is right for spreading; ice each cookie.
