1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 c. graham cracker crumbs
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
3/4 c. butter or margarine, softened
6 slices American or Cheddar cheese
2 1/2 c. (3 medium) peeler, sliced cooking apples
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, graham cracker crumbs, brown sugar, and butter until crumbly; set aside 1 1/2 c. crumb mixture. Pat remaining crumbs into an ungreased 9 x 13-in. baking pan.
Place 6 slices of cheese over crumbs.
Combine apples and sugar and sprinkle over cheese slices.
Sprinkle reserved crumb mixture and nuts over apples. Bake at 350º for 40 minutes until deep golden brown. Serve warm. Store in refrigerator.
