1 cup xxxx powdered sugar
4 cups plain flour
2 cups chopped pecans

Directions:
Mix all together well. Roll in oblong rolls and bake at 350º until golden brown (about 15 minutes). Roll in powdered sugar while still hot. Roll again when cool. Yields 6 dozen large. (Mom's note: "I melt butter in saucepan - easier than creaming and just as good!")

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
"Mommy" was Bonnie's grandmother - a sweet but stern English teacher whose love of grammar and reading has now passed through several generations. These light, buttery cookies were my mother Bonnie's favorite cookies, all of her life. Traces of powdered sugar on our lips were tell-tale signs we'd snuck a few at Christmastime!
