1 lb. ground beef
1 medium onion chopped
minced garlic to taste
salt & pepper to taste
1 can condensed tomato soup
1 - 1lb.can (2cups) cut green beans, drained or 1/2 lb.fresh green beans, cooked & drained
5 medium potatoes or instant mashed potato flakes (prepare serving for 4)
1/2 c. warm milk
1 beaten egg
1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese

Directions:

Brown hamburger lightly with onion, garlic, salt & pepper.
Add tomato soup and stir into meat.
Drain green beans and add to meat mixture.
Pour into a greased 1 1/2-qt. casserole dish.
Mash potatoes and mix in milk & egg until somewhat stiff.
Drop mounds of mashed potatoes on top of meat mixture.
Sprinkle shredded cheese over top of potatoes.
Bake at 350º for 25 - 30 minutes.

I usually double this, except for maybe the beans, and then put it in a 9X13 pan. Some quick homemade drop biscuits to go with it and you have a complete meal.
