2 crusts for 9" pie pan
1 3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c flour
4 c. fresh gooseberries
2 Tbsp. butter

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 425ºF. Prepare crusts. Stir together sugar and flour. Turn half of the berries into the pastry lined pie pan; sprinkle with half of the sugar mixture. Repeat with remaining berries and sugar; dot with butter. Cover with top crust. Seal, flute and cut slits in top. Cover edge with 2-3 inch strip of foil to prevent excessive browning; remove foil last 15 min of baking. Bake 35-45 minutes or until crust is nicely browned and juice begins to bubble through slits in crust. Cool.
