Cream together:
2 cups sugar
1 cup butter
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cocoa
2 eggs

Add altrernating with:

1 cup buttermilk
3 cup flour

Beat until smooth. Dissolve 2 tsp spoons soda in one cup boiling water add to batter and beat until smooth.

Bake 350 for 30 - 40 minutes or untiltooth pick comes out clean.
