1 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup dry red wine
1/2 cup + 1 tbs. sugar
1 tbs. fresh minced ginger
4 lb. bag of chicken wings or drumsticks

preheat oven to 400º

Arrange wings in single layer in a large roasting pan.
Combine soy sauce, wine, sugar and ginger in a saucepan over medium low heat stirring until sugar is dissolved. Pour evenly over wings
Bake for 45 minutes. Turn wings over and bake another 45 minutes to an hour or until sauce is dark and sticky. Transfer to a platter and serve hot

Before we had kids, our house was actually the cool house on Sunday's and some of Matt's friends would come to our house to watch football games. I always made these for them-was better than them going to a sports bar!

**note** consider using disposable foil pans for this otherwise you will be scrubbing your nice Pyrex or baking dish all night long
