2/3 c. Crisco shortening
1 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 tbsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1/3 c. cocoa
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375º. Combine Crisco, brown sugar, water and vanilla in a large bowl. Beat until well blended, the beat eggs into creamed mixture.
Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt and mix into creamed mixture at low speed. just until well blended. Stir in chocolate chips,
Drop by rounded tablespoons onto a ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375º for 7-9 minutes. DO NOT OVERBAKE!
