2 & 1/2 cups sifted flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup soft butter or shortening
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon water
2 eggs
12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts

Directions:

1. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt.
2. Blend butter, sugars, vanilla, water.
3. Beat in eggs.
4. Add flour mixture.
5. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
6. Drop by rounded half teaspoons on greased cookie sheet.
7. Bake 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
