1 cup melted oleo
1 & 1/2 cup brown sugar
2 cups flour
2 cups oatmeal
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup nuts, chopped
1 cup chocolate chips
14 oz. package caramels
1/2 cup evaporated milk

Directions:
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, cream together oleo and brown sugar. Blend in flour, oatmeal, soda, and salt. Press half of the mixture into a greased 9 inch X 13 inch pan. Bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Removed cookies from oven and sprinkle with nuts and chips, let cool.
2. In a separate saucepan, over low heat, melt the caramels and milk. Pour this mixture over the chips and nuts. Cover the cookies with the remaining crumb mixture. Bake cookies for 15-20 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool. Cut into squares.
