3 eggs, well beaten
1 cup raisins
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp baking soda
2 cups oatmeal
3/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine eggs, raisins and vanilla and let stand for 1 hour covered with plastic wrap.

Cream together butter and both sugars, add flour, salt, cinnamon and baking soda to sugar mixture. Mix well. Blend in egg-raisin mixture, oatmeal and nuts. Dough may be stiff.

Drop by heaping teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheets or roll into balls and flatten.

Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
