1 cup white sugar
1 cup butter or margarine
1 cup flour
1 tsp. baking soda
2 cups quick oats (1 minute)
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix butter or margarine with white sugar. Mix baking soda with flour, add to first mixture. Then add oats and vanilla. Bake a sample cookie, may need to add 1/4 cup additional flour if dough is too thin.

Bake at 350º on lightly greased baking pans until cookies are lightly browned, about 14 minutes. Makes a crisp cookie.
