2 C. Sifted Flour
1 t. Baking soda
1 t. Cinnamon
½ t. Ground cloves
½ t. Grated nutmeg
1/4 t. Salt
½ C. Unsalted butter (room temp)
1 C. Firmly packed brown sugar
1 C. Unsweetened applesauce, warmed
1 C. Raisins
½ C. Chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together the flour, soda, spices and salt; set aside. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy and light. Alternately add dry ingredients and warm applesauce, blending well after each addition. Mix in raisins and nuts. Pour into 3 small loaf pans (3½x6) and bake at 350o for 45-60 minutes until golden. Cool in pan 15 minutes, remove and finish cooling on wire rack. Wrap and chill before slicing. Serve with apple butter and tea.
