3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup white sugar
1 1/2 cup mini M & M
2 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt

Mix together flour, baking soda, and salt.
In a wide mouth quart jar, layer the ingredients in the order given, starting with the brown sugar and ending with the flour.

Preheat the oven to 350º
Empty the contents of the jar into a mixing bowl. Add 3/4 cup softened butter, beat in 1 egg and 1 tsp. vanilla. Mix in until well combined. Shape dough into 1 inch balls and flatten slightly with palm of hand.
Bake 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly brown.
