4 c. flour, lightly spooned into cup
1 t. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1 3/4 c. shortening (do not use oil, lard, margarine, or butter)
1/2 c. water
1 t. white or cider vinegar
1 large egg

Directions:
Directions:
In large bowl, stir together with fork flour, sugar and salt; cut in shortening with fork until crumbly. In small bowl, beat together water, vinegar, and egg; add to flour mixture and stir until all ingredients are moistened. Divide dough in 5 portions, wrap and chill at least 1/2 hour before using. Dough can be left in refrigerator up to 3 days. Can be frozen until ready to use.
