1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp corn syrup
1/4 cup pecans
1 Ready Crust
Filling
2/3 cup sugar
2 tbsp all purpose flour
1/2 tsp cinnamon
4 cups thinly sliced peeled apples
Topping
Cool Whip

Directions:

In a 9 inch pie pan, combine brown sugar, butter and corn syrup; mix well. Spread evenly in bottom of pan. Arrange pecans over mixture. Prepare pie crust as directed on package for two pie crust; place bottom crust over mixture in pan. Heat oven 425ºF.
In a small bowl, combine sugar, flour, and cinnamon; mix well. Arrange half apple slices in crust lined pan, sprinkle half sugar mixture. Repeat with remaining apples and sugar. Top with second crust; seal edges and flute. Cut slits in several places in top crust.
Place on sheet of foil on oven rack. Bake at 425ºF for 8 minutes. Reduce oven to 350ºF, bake an additional 35-45 minutes or until apples are tender and crust is golden brown.
Immediately run knife around edge to loosen pie. Carefully invert pie onto serving plate. Serve warm or cool and top with cool whip.
