2/3 cup butter (can use margarine)
2/3 cup butter flavored Crisco
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
3 cup flour
1 tsp soda
1 tsp salt
1 pkg instant vanilla pudding
2 cups chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, crisco, and sugar together till light and fluffy (VERY IMPORTANT) Add eggs and vanilla and beat again till fluffy. Add dry ingredients and chocolate chips. Bake for 12 min or until lighly browned at 350º
Let cool to set up.

These were the cookies Grandma always had waiting for us. Best cookie you will ever eat. I have had trouble though recreating the texture of how her's were (though mine were good, they didn't even look like grandma's) I found a key element was making sure to cream the sugar and fat till very fluffy. Also if you have a kitchen aid stand mixer, this also somehow helps. (she did make them with hers)
