1 1/2 lbs. Ground Beef
1/2 tsp. Salt
3 tsp. Cracked Black Pepper
2 tbsp. Butter
2 tbsp. Vegetable Oil
1 c. Chopped Onion
1 c. Dry Red Wine
1/2 c. Beef Broth
2 tbsp. Fresh Chopped Parsley

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oil and butter in medium to large fry pan over medium high heat. Add salt to ground beef; shape into 4 round or oval patties, 1/2" - 3/4" thick. Lightly press pepper into both sides. Fry patties for 5 minutes; turn and continue frying for an additional 5 minutes. Remove patties to a warm platter.

Pour off most of the drippings and saute the chopped onion for 2 minutes. Add the wine and broth and continue cooking until liquid is reduced by half. Return patties to the reduced liquid in the pan and heat for about 2 minutes to warm completely. Sprinkle with parsley and serve with mashed potatoes or any side dish.
