4 c. soft wheat or white bread cubes
2 c. peeled apples, sliced thin
1/2 c. raisins
1 3/4 c. milk
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. brown sugar, packed firmly
1/4 c. butter or margarine
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Grease 1 1/2 quart baking dish and set aside. In a bowl, combine bread, apples and raisins. Heat milk, butter and brown sugar in a saucepan. Pour over apple and bread mixture in a bowl. Add eggs, vanilla and cinnamon. Bake for 45 minutes.

Topping:
1/2 c. whipping cream
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. brown sugar
12 c. white sugar

Combine cream, butter and sugars in a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Add vanilla and pour over warm pudding.
