1 lb raisins
1 lb beef suet
1/2 cup citron
1/2 cup lemon peel
1 cup bread crumbs
1 lb currants
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
6 eggs
Juice of 1 lemon
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp allspice
1 tsp ginger
1 tsp cloves
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Put raisins through a coarse food grinder. Beat eggs and add lemon juice. Combine everything into a large bowl. Grease molds. Fill 2/3 full. Cover tightly with foil and immerse in covered steamer. After water comes to a boil, simmer for 4 hours. Cool and store as long as several weeks.
