1/4 c. butter or margarine, softened
1- 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 egg
1 tsp. almond extract
1 box yellow cake mix

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º F. Cream butter with cream cheese until fluffy. Beat in egg, almond extract and half of cake mix until smooth. Stir in remaining cake mix. Dough will be very thick. Fill cookie press with 1/4 of dough at one time. Form desired shapes on ungreased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with colored sugars. Bake 7 to 8 minutes. Cool slightly before removing from cookie sheet. Cookies will be soft. Wipe sheet clear and dry before each baking or they won't release correctly. If you prefer you can drop by spoonfuls instead of cookie press. Makes 5 dozen.
