1 c. Crisco
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
2 2/3 c. flour
1 c. semi sweet chocolate chips
1 c. milk chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all the ingredients (except for flour and chips) until smooth. Add the flour 1 cup at a time. Then add chocolate chips. Drop (heaping tablespoon) on cookie sheet. Bake at 350º until lightly golden brown.

I add enough flour that the dough is not really sticky. My test is being able to roll a ball into my hand easily. I also take them out of the oven as soon as I see the cookies starting to brown. My other trick is; as I take the cookies off the cookie sheet, I put them on a brown paper bag. This will absorb some of the grease as they cool. My mom taught me this trick for all cookies! The hard part is finding brown paper bags! I often use the non waxy side of freezer paper. If the cookies 'sink' in the middle as they cool, you may want to add a bit more flour to the remaining dough.
