Cake:
2 squares chocolate
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup water
2 beaten eggs and 1 egg yoke
1 cup sugar
1 cup sifted flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 cup sour cream


Icing:
1 well beaten egg white
1/4 cup butter
1 cup sifted confectionery sugar
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Melt together:
2 squares chocolate
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup water

Beat together:
2 eggs and 1 egg yoke
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 cup sour cream
Blend with melted mixture. Mix well and bake in 8" pan for 30 minutes at 375 degrees.


Icing:
1 well beaten egg white
1/4 cup butter
1 cup sifted confectionery sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Beat half of sugar with butter and the other half with egg white.

** I sometimes substitute ALMOND extract for vanilla, a nice combo with chocolate cake.
