3 cups margarine or butter
2 cups sugar
6 cups all-purpose flour
3 cups ground hazelnuts or almonds
1 jar raspberry or apricot preserves
Chocolate Icing or sifted powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
In a large mixer bowl beat margarine or butter for 30
seconds. Add sugar and beat till fluffy. Add flour and
nuts. Beat till well combined. Divide in half. Cover
and chill 1 to 2 hours. On lightly floured surface roll
dough 1/4 inch thick. Cut into rounds with 2-inch
cookie cutter. Cut a small round in centers of half the
cookies. Place cookies on un-greased cookie sheets.
Bake in a 350º oven 7 to 8 minutes or till edges are
lightly brown. Remove from oven; cool on wire racks.
Spread about 1/2 teaspoon preserves on the center
of each whole round, place rounds with cut out center
on top. Drizzle with chocolate, or sprinkle lightly with
powdered sugar.
