2 c. sugar
1 c. light corn syrup
1 lb. raw Spanish peanuts
1/8 t. salt
1 t. vanilla extract
2 T. butter
2 t. baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, corn syrup and 1 c. water in sauce pan.Cook to 270º to 290º on candy thermometer, soft-crack stage. Stir in peanuts. Cook until golden brown. Add salt, vanilla and butter; mix well. Remove from heat. Stir in baking soda quickly, Spread on buttered surface. Cool. Break into pieces.
