Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 & 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 cup butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1 egg
2 & 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cream of tarter

Directions:
Directions:
Mix powdered sugar and butter until creamy. Add in vanilla, almond extract and egg. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover and refrigerate at least 3 hours. (I usually make the dough the day before I plan to bake the cookies.)
Heat oven to 375º. Divide dough into fourths. Roll each fourth about 3/16" thick on a lightly floured smooth surface. (Not too thin, not too thick)
It helps to put a little flour on the rolling pin too! Cut into desired shapes and place them onto greased (I use Pam) cookie sheets. Bake about 9 minutes or so. Frost and decorate cooled cookies.

Personal Notes:
This is the recipe for the Christmas tree cookies we've had every year. It wouldn't be Christmas without them according to Kevin Broach!
