1/2 c. boiling water
1 c. quick rolled oats
2 tbsp. shortening
5 - 6 c. flour
1/2 c. molasses
2 tsp. salt
2 pkg. Yeast
1/2 c. lukewarm water

Directions:
Directions:
Pour boiling water over rolled oats. Add shortening. Cool. Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water. Add flour. Turn on floured surface and knead until smooth. Put in greased bowl, and turn so surface has shortening coating. Let rise for approx. one hour until doubled. Punch down, shape into two loaves and place in greased pans. Cover and let rise again until doubled. Bake at 350º about 50 minutes.
