6 tblsp softened butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
2 cups chocolate chips ( any kind- semi-sweet, milk, minis)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugars.
Add egg and vanilla.
Stir together flour and baking soda, gradually add to butter mixture until well blended.
Add in chocolate chips.
Line 2 9-inch round baking pans with aluminum foil, extending over edge of pan.
Spread 1/2 batter into each pan, spreading to 1-inch from edge (I usually pat it into pan with my fingers).
Cookies will spread when baking.
Bake @ 350 15-20 minutes or until lightly brown.
Cool completely in pans.
Remove from pans and remove foil.
Frost or serve with ice cream.
