1 and 1/4 cups sugar
1 cup butter or margarine
2 eggs
1 cup sour cream
2 cups sifted flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon almond flavoring and your nut topping below

Nut Mixture:
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl, cream together sugar and butter. Add almond extract, eggs and sour cream. In a medium bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and soda. Add to the creamed mixture and mix until very creamy.


Butter and flour a tube pan. Pour in 1/2 of the cake batter. Mix together above ingredients and add 1/2 of the mixture to the batter. Pour remaining batter; and the rest of the nut mixture to top. Bake at 350º for 45 minutes to 1 hour. While still hot sprinkle with confectioner's sugar.
