1 c. softened butter
1/2 c. sour cream
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla or any other extracts you like
2 3/4 c. all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/4 tsp. nutmeg ( optional)

preheat oven to 375º
sift dry ingredents into med. bowl. in a large bowl cream butter, eggs, sugar on med. speed. alternate the dry mixture with the sour cream, add what ever flavoring you would like. batter will be light and fluffy drop by tablespoonfulls onto cookie sheets lined with parchment paper for easy removal. bake 8 to 10 min. intil edges are light brown and cookies are set they are a very light cookie. i sprinkle granulated sugar or colored sugar on before baking.
