Cook 1/2 cup rice in 2 1/2 cups water

3 eggs
2/3 cup sugar
pinch of salt
4 cups milk
1 cup raisins
Nutmeg to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Beat the eggs, sugar and salt. Add the milk. Stir until blended. Add the cooked rice and nutmeg.

Bake at 425º for about 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350º and cook for one hour or until pudding is set.

Serve warm or cold.

This was grandpa's all time favorite. I made it for him several times and he always said it was good but in his kind way added that "nobody can make it like your Mom".
