2 cups sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/8 pound butter
3 Tbsp. cocoa
3 cups quick oats
1/2 cup peanut butter or coconut
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 to 1 cup nuts (if desired)

Directions:
Directions:
Put sugar, milk, butter and cocoa into pan. Bring to a boil until it forms soft ball. Remove from heat, add oatmeal, peanut butter, vanilla and nuts. Stir well and drop by teaspoon on wax paper. Let stand 1/2 hour until dry.

This came from a recipe book that Grandma or Mother had called Ma's Cookin'. produced by the Ozark Maid candies. These are so easy to make and way too good: The litte story above this recipe reads:
"Bet you took yore readin' glasses off an' cleaned them when you read this recipe name. Nope, yore not seein' things - she was "boiled". Credit fer this one goes to Wilma Davis, Osage Beach, MO.
