Cupcakes:
1 box devil’s food cake mix
1 - 8 oz package cream cheese
1 egg
¾ cup sugar
¾ cup chocolate chips

Cream Cheese Icing:

1 stick butter (not margarine)
2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
Mix cake using package directions. Fill cupcake holders about 2/3 full. Mix cream cheese, egg, sugar and chocolate chips together. Drop about a teaspoon of the cheese mixture on top of each cupcake. Bake using cake package directions. Makes 2 dozen cupcakes. Ice with Cream Cheese Frosting.

Directions for Cream Cheese Frosting: Set out cream cheese and butter until softened. Add the powdered sugar and mix until well blended. Add vanilla and blend in.
