1 large onion
1-2 cloves garlic, minced
1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
2 c. chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1/2 c. fresh lemon juice
1 Tbsp. soy sauce, reduced sodium
salt to taste
1/4 c. tahini (sesame paste)
1/2 c. sesame seeds, toasted (bake 10 m @ 350 F)
pita bread, quartered

Saute the onion and garlic in oil until onions are soft. Set mix aside. Cook chickpeas in microwave for 5-6 min. Puree chickpeas with onion, garlic, lemon juice, soy sauce, salt, tahini, and sesame seeds. Serve with pita bread or fresh vegetables.
