1 cup soft butter or margarine
1 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup salad oil
4 and 1/2 cups sifted plain flour
1 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup confectioner sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar in large bowl. Beat eggs in one at a time until fluffy. Add vanilla. Beat well. Mix flour, soda and salt; gradually add dry ingredients to cream mixture. Beat well. Wrap in wax paper, then in towel and chill 1/2 day or overnight. Form heaping teaspoon on cookie sheet, flatten with glass dipped in sugar each time. Bake at 350º for 10 minutes or until they are brown. Take off pan while hot.
