5 1/2 C flour, sifted and spoon measured
2 pkgs yeast
1 TBS sugar
2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp soda
2 C milk
1/2 C water
cornmeal

Directions:
Directions:
Combine 3 cups of flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Mix well.

Combine and heat liquids until they are very warm, not hot (about 120º-130º). Add to dry mix. Beat well about 2-minutes.

Stir in balance of flour as needed for stiff batter. Spoon into greased loaf pans dusted with cornmeal. Sprinkle corn meal on top of batter.

Let rise in warm place for 45-minutes. Preheat oven to 400ºF.

Bake at 400ºF for 25 minutes. Remove from pans immediately.
