2 cups dry bread crumbs
4 cups milk (scalded)
2 eggs
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup raisins, if desired

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350º. In saucepan, heat milk. In large bowl, mix eggs, sugar, cinnamon and salt. Stir in bread crumbs and raisins. Stir in milk. Pour into dripper pan. Bake uncovered until knife inserted at least 1 inch from edge comes out clean. Serve with whipped cream or cool whip.

(Don't crumb bread very small. More or less in cubes.)
