11/2c. Flour
1tsp. Soda
1/2tsp. Salt
1c. Sugar
1 Egg
2c. Fruit Cocktail (Don't drain use the whole can)
1tsp. Vanilla

Topping:
1/2c. Brown Sugar
1/2c. chopped nuts (pecans or your choice)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350.Sift together flour, soda and salt. Sift in sugar, add egg, fruit cocktail and vanilla. Stir all together till mixed well. Pour into a greased 9x13 baking dish. Sprinkle with the brown sugar and nuts. Bake 30-35 minutes.

JoEllen sent us a packet with this recipe and noted that this was Nana Green's personal favorite cake. This recipe was in Nana Green's handwriting. When Justin was in school, he had an assignment to trace his family tree and using an "old family recipe", cook for the class.
