4 TBLS olive oil
5 garlic cloves minced
2 - 28 oz. cans ready cut peeled tomatoes
1 - 6 oz can tomato paste
4 TBLS sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
10 fresh basil leaves
pepper
grated cheese

Directions:
Directions:
In a deep 10-inch frying pan, heat the olive oil and gently saute the garlic. Add tomatoes, paste and sun-dried tomatoes, if you are using these.

Put on medium heat for 20 - 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Tear basil leaves into small pieces and sprinkle on top after adding to pasta. Add pepper and grated cheese to taste.

This sauce is fabulous with fish, scallops, shrimp and pasta.

Alternative: Add 1 medium onion, finely chopped, and saute the onion with the garlic until limp.

Each step makes a different sauce that is delicious, fresh and unique!

I haven't tried it with the sun-dried tomatoes.

This sauce is the closest I have found to grandma's marinara...yummy
