1 1/4 c. chopped pecans
1 1/2 c. butter, softened
(1) 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
3 c. sugar
6 eggs
3 c. cake flour, sifted
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
confectioners sugar (for dusting)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325º. In a large bowl, cream the butter and cream cheese. Add sugar, salt and vanilla and mix well. Add in the eggs one at a time. Blend in flour then fold in 1 c. of the chopped nuts. Sprinkle the remaining nuts evenly into the bottom of a greased and floured 10" angel food cake pan. Pour batter on top of the nuts.

Bake for an hour and a half or until an inserted cake tester comes out clean. Remove cake and cool. Once cooled, turn cake out of pan onto a cake dish and dust top of cake with confectioners sugar.
