•2 tazas de agua
•1 cucharadita de consomé de pollo o 1/2 cubo de caldo vegetal
1 paquete (16 onzas) congelados brócoli picado, descongelado
1 cebolla mediana, picada
broca de 1/4 taza de mantequilla, cortados en cubitos
•3 cucharadas de harina
•1 taza de leche de 2 %
•1 libra queso de proceso (Velveeta), cortados en cubitos

•En una olla grande, poner el agua y el caldo a hervir. Añadir el brócoli. Reduzca el calor; Cubra y cocine a fuego lento durante 3-4 minutos o hasta que estén crujientes. Drenaje, reservando 3/4 de taza del líquido.
• En otro sartén grande, saltear cebolla en la mantequilla hasta que estén tiernos. Batir en la harina hasta que quede mezclado. Añadir la leche y el queso. Cocine a fuego medio-bajo hasta que se espese y el queso se haya derretido, revolviendo con frecuencia. Agregue el brócoli y el líquido de cocción reservado.
