1 lb ground beef
1 onion diced
3 celery stalks chopped
fresh or canned mushroom pieces (1 lb or 2 cans drained)
2 cans stewed tomatoes
1 can tomato paste
2 large cans tomato sauce or pasta sauce
1 Tbsp brown sugar
garlic powder to taste
salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp oregano (more if you like)
1 tsp cayenne pepper if you like it spicy (more if you like it really spicy)

Sautee onions, celery and mushrooms in about 2 tbsps oil in large pot. Add ground beef to onion mixture and continue browning until meat is cooked well. Add stewed tomatoes, tomato paste, brown sugar and tomato sauce and stir well until all mixed. Add remaining spices and stir well. Put sauce on medium and stir often and once boiling reduce to simmer and stir frequently. Simmer for 1 to 4 hours making sure sauce doesn't burn on bottom.

Serve over any pasta noodles of your choice with garlic bread and salad.

Make sure this sauce doesn't burn on the bottom or it will ruin your sauce! This can be simmered all day if you want. The longer it sits the better it is.
