1-2 stewing Chickens

7 c. flour
1 c. cooking oil
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cover chicken with water which has been put salt, pepper and butter. Cook until done. Remove chicken from broth and keep warm Set aside and make dough. Add together flour, oil, baking powder and salt. Mix with just enough water to make a soft dough. Roll THIN!! Cut into 2" squares. Drop into BOILING broth, and cook ( covered ) for 20 min.

The ladies at Aldine made quarts and quarts to sell. Mom showed me and I taught Dawn. Kyra and Rene have been cutting out the squares since they could stand on the stool to reach. This is a real family affair. The secret is to get it real thin and drop into boiling broth. Don't let it stick to the bottom of the pot.
