2 Tbsp. butter
1-1/2 cups sugar
1/4 cup water
food coloring

6 quarts popped popcorn

Directions:
Melt butter, stir in sugar and water. Stir until mixture starts to boil. Without stirring, cook to soft ball (cooks quickly). Pour over the popped corn.

This was a staple at the Primary Carnival when I was growing up. It is sugary on the corn and pretty when it's colored.
