Ingredients:
6 or 7 Granny Smith apples
1 Tbsp. cinnamon
1 cup sugar
dots of butter

Directions:
Directions:
Peel, core and slice apples. Mix sugar and cinnamon and mix with apples. Heap into a prepared pie crust. Dot with butter, cover with top crust and slit for air to escape. Bake at 400º for 60 to 70 minutes. May want to protect crimped edge of crust with foil or pie protector (from Pampered Chef - they work great) so edges don't burn too much. It's tough on your oven, but I know the apples are cooked enough when juice starts boiling out of the pie, so don't underbake!

Natalee found this recipe in the Billings Gazette and won the pie contest at YW when she was a Laurel. It really is a good one.
