1/2 cup shortening 1/4 tsp. soda
1 cup brown sugar 1/4 tsp. salt
2 eggs 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 cup mashed bananas (about 2) 1/4 tsp. cloves
2 cups flour 1/2 cup chopped nuts
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Lemon frosting:
1/3 cup soft butter
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind
3 cups powdered sugar

Cream together shortening, sugar, eggs, bananas. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Chill dough for 1 hour at least. Drop onto lightly greased cookie sheet with spoons. Bake at 375º for 8-10 minutes. Frost with Lemon frosting
