Mix like pie crust:
1/2 cup (1 cube) butter
1 cup flour
2 Tbsp. water
Form into 2 strips on a cookie sheet. Each strip should be about 3 inches wide and 1/2 inch thick.

In a saucepan, make like cream puffs:
1/2 cup butter
1 cup water
1 tsp. almond extract
1 cup flour
1/4 tsp. salt
3 eggs

Directions:
Directions:
Bring water and butter to a boil. Add almond. Stir in flour and salt with wooden spoon. Allow to cool some. Add eggs one at a time stirring well after each addition. Divide mixture in half and spread each half over one of the strips of crust. Bake for 55 to 60 minutes at 350º until light brown. Frost with powdered sugar icing and sprinkle with chopped nuts. To serve, cut into 1-inch strips.
